It is that time again! Mark your calendars for the 8th annual Heritage Trail Pottery Tour & Sale! We are all working tirelessly making beautiful things just for you! You can get a full map with all of our studios on our Facebook Heritage Trail Pottery Tour page (so, go and "like" it!). Saturday, May 4th and Sunday May 5th are our dates for this year. I know there are so many things happening during that weekend - another being the Johnston Peach Festival - this will be going on at the same time as our tour on Saturday. So, Saturday in Johnston, you can participate in the pottery tour and hit up the Peach Festival! We are going to have special parking in Johnston for the tour because it will be a bit congested. Stay tuned for more info on that ( and we will attach a map, here too).
This year, we have more stops! Below is our list beginning in Johnston ending in Greenwood...
The Ridge Clay Arts, 402 Calhoun Street
Edgefield Clay Works, 835 Airport Rd
Old Edgefield Pottery, Phoenix Factory 230 Simpkins St
PK Pottery, 79 Wood Duck Drive
Main & Maxwell Studios, 210 Main St
Sandy Singletary Studio, 206 Briggs Ave
Greenwood Center For the Arts, 120 Main St
pARTners In Clay, 550 Center Street
So much hard work goes into this event every year - we actually spend the entire year planning at monthly guild meetings. This year both Greenwood's Guild (Greenwood Area Studio Potters) and Edgefield's (Edgefield Area Clay Guild) recieved grants from SC Arts Commission! I will stop for now - I will put more info out later in the week. I will introduce you to our Sponsors and add more pictures (a big "Thank you" to our talented happy potter, Linda Neely for our great pictured ads below - you can see her beautiful work at pARTners In Clay in Greenwood!). Thank you the SC Commission for the Arts for their support through grants.
